Common Uses

Astragalus is known for its immune-strengthening qualities, particularly against viral infections of the respiratory system and the heart. It also provides direct antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects. It also boosts the liver to boost the body’s defenses.

Astragalus can be a good treatment for respiratory infection, including kennel cough.

Astragalus may also be useful in recovering from long-term steroid therapy. It can also be useful in early stage kidney infection or renal failure.

Astragalus can also boost energy levels in debilitated animals.

Instructions

Up to 20 drops of extract can be administered per 20 pounds of animal’s body weight, up to twice daily.
